Animation is a vast medium that evolved from the classic frame by frame technique to a million genres and directions. It offers a clear and communicative format to express an inner imaginary world.  The animation department in the Musrara school combines the basics of classic animation with the latest digital abilities of today. Students will work on personal projects as well as in teams, in creative processes that will combine students from different departments such as the new music, media and photography department. The animation department is equipped with state of the art computers, 2d and 3d software, stop motion equipment and classic animation station. Students in the animation department have access to the editing suites, the digital print labs and the recording studio. Extra workshops include body language and creating soundtrack, and other classes from guest lecturers who are leading figures in the world of animation. A special emphasis is put on drawing classes, to develop a flexible hand and a fresh grasp of reality. The department aims to bring the graduating student to a level where they can penetrate the professional market and represent themselves in festivals all over the world with a final film and a professional portfolio under their belt.
