I am interested in examining the concept of the Israeli family, which has been undergoing change in recent years, involving two opposite trends: the disintegration of the family unit on the one hand, and its expansion as foreign
workers begin to join the family unit on the other.

The exhibition explores the role, function and visibility of foreign workers, mainly as caretakers for elderly parents and for heads of family who are transitioning to living in a different space, an aging space. The exhibition re-examines concepts of intimacy, closeness and ethics in the new Israeli family of the 21st century through the works of various artists, as well as through historical documentary materials from Israel.
