Appointment of Amir Boltzman as Head of the Department of New Music
Congratulations to Amir Boltzman who has been appointed Head of the Department of New Music at Musrara.
Amir Boltzman is a multidisciplinary sound artist, curator and composer. A graduate of the Department of New Music at the Musrara School and holds a bachelor's and master's degree from the Department of Sonology at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague.
For the past decade, Boltzman has been involved in the experimental music scene in Israel, the Netherlands and Germany as a solo player and in collaboration with musicians and ensembles. A member of the “Duo of Love and Terror” ensemble together with drummer Ariel Armoni who released two albums on the German label “Full Body Massage”, presented and curated works for a variety of Jerusalem cultural bodies such as: Maamuta Art and Research Center, Barbur Gallery’ The Season of Culture in Jerusalem Ehoes I + II and the art collective "No Coast". Moderator, computer music and composition teacher in the Department of New Music at Musrara Jerusalem. Co-authored with Sala-Manka the "Maamuta Sound" residency program at the Maamuta Art and Research Center.
